Mission

Yellow House is fully dedicated to bringing unique works of theatre and film to the Richmond area and beyond.
 With this in mind, Yellow House only produces new works of film and theatre that have not premiered
elsewhere in the world. We are interested in producing cutting-edge entertainment and fostering and nurturing
new and emerging artists within our community.

The uniqueness of Yellow House is found in the strong sense of family among our volunteer base, working
together on each project [stage or film production] in a home setting in the historic Fan district of the City of
Richmond. Students from local colleges and universities, as well as the public, are encouraged to learn all aspects
of the business, working side-by-side with the core "family" of volunteers, a diverse population in a unified,
cohesive setting.

Philosophy

At Yellow House we value our volunteers to the utmost, as they are our family. They are at the core of the
organization and the heartbeat of every film, show, or event. We encourage our volunteers to bring their unique
talent, skills and knowledge to our workforce. We value their comments and contribution and hope that they will
spread the word to educate the Richmond community at large about Yellow House, it's mission and ideals. They
are as much a part of our life as we hope to be to theirs. Without them we would not be alive and growing.
